Anyways, I always love going through the magazines to see what toys kids are into these days. Sometimes it's appalling to see how much money parents are willing to spend on toys, but that's another topic for another day. For now I just wanted share with you some of the hilarious toys we found in the "Kid's Holiday Book." Josh and I had a good laugh.

This picture doesn't do it justice. The magazine shows how big it is. Doll houses just won't do anymore. It's a full-blown high school, complete with gym, classroom, stage, and lunchroom.

I think the picture speaks for itself.

This one is funny because the description says, "Create and dissect over 90 different wacky aliens." Did you see that? Kids are dissecting aliens. Wow.

This one's funny because it's already hard enough to keep kids from eating Play-Doh. How are they supposed to fight off the temptation when it looks like ice cream?! I think I'd have to take a bite too.
Don't get me wrong; there are some things in the catalog that I would have totally wanted as a kid, like DDR and Crayola's Glow Station. (Wait, who am I kidding? I would have fun with those things even at age 60.) But if you know of any other funny toys out there, tell me about them. Share the laughter!
I want to reiterate that this post is not about how you do or do not spend your money at Christmastime. Like I mentioned earlier, that's a whole different topic for a different day. But if you do plan to spend money this Christmas and you happen to be looking for an alternative way to do so, I encourage you to watch this video. My friend's brother started this campaign called Advent Conspiracy and I thought it was really neat.
