Riley is cracking us up these days with all the things she's saying. We're starting to understand much of what she says. Here's a sampling:
"Coot?" = Cute? Clearly, her daddy thinks she's a beauty, and he tells her so. As soon as I'm done dressing her and doing her hair, she runs to Dada and says, "Coot?"
"Dank oo, dank oo, dank oo!" = Thank you! She rarely says it just once. She usually says it three times in a row, getting more excited each time. She even said thank you to the nurse after she pricked her finger for some blood. It was adorable!
"Tash" = trash. As in, the diaper belongs in the trash.
"Osh osh" = Joshua
"carrrrrrr" = car. I love how she drags out the r.
"pease" = "please"
"pay" = play
"Juice!" and "cookie!" - Boy, she can say these words really well! (I wonder why???)
In addition to these words, she knows several colors and about a third of the alphabet.
And she LOVES the travel-size magnadoodle that her Mamaw gave her. I forgot to mention it in the previous post, but it's definitely one of her favorite things. I would say it's a must-have for any kid. Not only is it a great learning tool, but it's perfect to take to the doctor's office or anytime we'll be in a waiting room of some kind.
