More Changes to Report

Ok, I'm definitely playing catch-up in the blog world. But I like to record everything going on in our lives so I can go back one day and read about it. So, here are some current changes:

1. Our duplex neighbors are moving to Florida tomorrow. This is exciting for them and we're very happy to see their dreams come true, but we're sad to say goodbye. I'm not sure if I've ever blogged about them, but we've been truly blessed by having them as our duplex neighbors. They are a sweet young couple with a daughter who is exactly one year younger than Riley. The wife is a stay-at-home mom and I can't tell you how much fun it has been to have her here. We joke that we are SAHM roommates. Because that's really what it's like. We run back and forth to each others' houses all day, asking mommy questions or grabbing a food item we've run out of or even borrowing clothes. We have daily encouraged each other to love our husbands well. And they have often surprised us with free car washes, too! If our new duplex neighbors are even half as cool as the ones who are moving out, I'll be very grateful!

2. My older sister, Katherine, is expecting twins in early December (which means they'll probably come in November)!!!! I can't describe how excited I am to be an aunt. And the fact that we'll have another set of twins in the family is just too wonderful to explain. This was really all I could think about for almost two weeks straight. I can't wait to help plan the baby shower and most importantly, be there to help out when the babies come. It is such a blessing that we live in the same town right now.

3. We are now a single car family. We are very excited that Elisa has her truck back and we are proud of her for working two jobs! The adjustment to one car has been really easy (especially since going anywhere with two kids is more work than I care to take most of the time). We are incredibly grateful that we own the car we have and hopefully we'll be able to pay cash for the next car we buy.

4. This last change is difficult to report. Josh's Aunt Katie has been diagnosed with brain cancer and she has been given less than a year to live. She is currently undergoing chemo and we are praying it stops making her so sick. We have not yet gone to visit her but we hope to go see her soon! We would love for you to join us in praying for her miraculous healing.

so yeah i needed your email address for those pictures i sent of Riley and found your blog. You guys will be truly missed. We've been here 3 days and still havent met any neighbors. I think their all old. anyway being neighbors with yall guys was great and definetly what Jenn and I needed for the first 2 years of our marriage. Yall are a great example of what a marriage with laughter and good communication can be. (I know your thinking it wasnt like that all the time, but you were still a good example of it most of the time :) ) We will miss seeing baby Joshua grow up like we did Riley and its hard to believe she is already almost 2. Good luck with the new neighbors and hopefully they will still split the internet cost and maybe even wash your car. lol. God bless, love yall. -Ramon
