Here's a quick list of what we've been up to lately (in no particular order):
1. Josh had work in Austin last week, so we went and stayed with Leslie and Austin for a few days. It was such a great, relaxing trip. We saw old friends and enjoyed the cold weather. And we totally took advantage of their DVR - we got caught up on all of our Jon & Kate Plus 8 and LOST shows. Thanks for the hospitality, Leslie and Austin!
2. Josh has taken the first big step to finishing his degree. He's taking Spanish class on Tuesday and Thursday nights. It doesn't sound like much, but I'm really proud of him. Since we were in Austin last week, he found out a way to go to class on Monday and then we got back to Bryan in time for his Thursday night class, so he didn't miss anything. He's taking school seriously and he knows what he has to do to get the degree. He can see the light at the end of the tunnel!
3. Riley is five and half months now and it seems like she's doing new things everyday! She is truly at such a fun age. She just smiles and coos all the time and it makes my heart melt. I am obsessed with her little hands. They're adorable and I can't get enough of them. She rolls over both ways now and her new favorite thing is standing and jumping in the exersaucer. She eats cereal three times a day and still nurses five (sometimes six) times a day. She sleeps about twelve hours at night and takes about four naps during the day, about one hour each. She is now sleeping on her stomach and seems to really like it! As soon as she learned to roll over, there was no more keeping her on her back. And she always scoots herself into the corner of the crib and snuggles up. She is definitely a little snuggle bug.
4. My friend, Kathryn, came over on Sunday and taught me how to make homemade baby food. It was such a blessing because the word "homemade" just had me scared, but I couldn't believe how easy it was! And how CHEAP it was! I now have tons of frozen baby food in our freezer and when I introduce veggies (probably next week), it will be so simple.
5. Josh has really gotten into building lately. He has added onto our porch and he also made an end table for our living room. I needed to make the living room more functional for our family and I was definitely ready for a change, so other than new couches, we are redecorating our living room on a zero dollar budget. I can't believe how different it looks without spending any money. We found the couches on CraigsList. We've become big fans of CraigsList lately; I highly recommend using it if you need to buy or sell something! Josh made the end table from mesquite wood. I was pretty impressed. A big thanks to Jimmy and Barney for all their help!
6. Our church plant, Living Hope Baptist Church Bryan, moved into our new facility last weekend and had our first "real" service. It was an exciting day. Josh and I were working in the preschool and had fun with the babies. We're looking forward to attending the service this Saturday.
7. My new hobby is reading all about Biblical parenting. I'm learning so much and I have several excellent books to recommend if you're interested in that topic. I have grandiose plans of writing book reviews on my blog, but I'm not going to make any promises. I seem to go through waves with blogging.
8. Lastly, we've had so much fun celebrating new babies. Last time I counted, I had fourteen pregnant friends. It's such an exciting time and I look forward to all the sweet baby showers! Congrats to Erin and Judy, who just had their babies this week!
Ok, I know what everyone really wants: pictures of Riley. I'll post them soon, but as of right now, they're stuck on my camera. Now that I've written this ridiculously long post, I feel like I'm caught up on documenting our lives and maybe I can write about the simple everyday things.
Now it's off to play with Riley. Have a great day!

Thanks for the update! Glad to hear things are going well and you're seeing God's hand in your lives.
It was so fun hanging out and making baby food. I have that hand mixer in my car, I will get it to you this weekend.
