The Purse and The Fall

A couple weeks ago I noticed that Riley was suddenly into purses. She would take my purse and lug it around the house all day, sometimes talking on her cell phone and occasionally walking to the door and saying "Bye!" So yesterday she got her very own purse. And she literally walked around the house with her arm up (just like the picture shows) all day in order to keep the purse on her shoulder. I don't know how her arm didn't get tired.

If you look really closely, you can see two little scratches on her nose and cheek. She got those yesterday when she fell out of the front window. Whenever she hears someone outside, she goes to the window and presses her face against it. Well, yesterday was a pretty day out so Josh opened the windows, then went out to wash the cars. When Riley heard him outside, she went to the window. But of course, she didn't know the window was up and inevitably, she fell right through to the concrete. Amazingly, she only got two little scratches. Thank the LORD we live in a one-story house!

And by the way, I should note that Riley is one tough little girl. She falls all day long (so not the most graceful thing, but that'll come later) and never cries. If anything, she laughs and claps her hands, thanks to her daddy's strategic training.
