Jumping & Climbing

One of the funniest things Riley has been doing lately is "jumping." I don't know if other toddlers go through this hilarious stage of learning to jump (I truly don't remember this from my days of working at the daycare, but that might just be my poor memory), but it's cracking me up. She thinks she's jumping, but her feet never actually come off the ground. I had never thought before how complicated the simple task of jumping can be. And as I've been working on other fine motor skills with her, I have become even more in awe of how God created our bodies. It amazes me!

In other news, Riley finally figured out how to climb last week. Well, technically she's been climbing on playground equipment for months but for some reason, she never transferred that ability to our house and I was quite fine with that. It wasn't until last week that she realized she could climb up onto our couches and chairs. I don't know how I got lucky enough to not have to deal with that until now, but I'm thankful for that!
