We had a wonderful spring break! Of course, Josh still had to work but he didn't have class in the evenings so we had lots of family fun time. The weather was gorgeous and we spent as much time as we could outside. Here's a quick run-down of some of the things we did:
-Walked around a park with some friends on Monday evening. Like typical newbie parents, we forgot the stroller so that didn't last long. But it was enjoyable nonetheless!
-Dodgeball on Tuesday... so fun!
-Volleyball on Thursday (I didn't play, but Josh had a great time. He even played with those "beer goggles" on. I kept thinking they were going to give him a headache. He's crazy!)
-Cut & organized coupons (Seriously, Josh has gotten more motivated about this than me. He's determined to learn how those people do it that save gazillions of dollars at the grocery store.)
-I helped my sister out at her business for a couple days.
-Josh made a clothesline so I can stop hanging our jeans up to dry on the fence.
-We've stocked up on frozen fruit and have jumped on the smoothie train. Josh has been wanting me to make smoothies for awhile, but I always thought they were too much work. Once Heather explained on her blog how easy they were to make, I was willing to give it a try. Now I'm a smoothie queen myself.
-I started running again for the first time in years. It feels great! I don't have a jogging stroller, so I can only run at certain times of the day. But it's not a big deal because I don't run for long; that's for sure! (We're waiting for a good deal on Craigslist for a jogging stroller, so maybe Josh and I can run together.)
-We started memorizing the "Shorter Catechism." This is all new to me, but I really like that I'll be able to have solid answers to basic questions about what I believe.
-We celebrated my mom's birthday yesterday. Happy Birthday, Mom!
*Special thanks to Heather for organizing all of the evening activities.
